These free, one-day events will be full of hands on learning, interaction with peers and Instrument Manager and EP Evaluator experts. We are offering 5 different locations across the country. Getting Started with Moving Averages – Assay Selection
Description
A review of the principles behind Moving averages and an overview of the steps necessary to identify the analytes to begin using Moving Averages and to determine the necessary protocol parameters (Mean, SD and N). Review of thresholds to refine the protocol.

Getting Started with Moving Averages – Setting up Protocols
Description
A review of the steps necessary to enter a protocol including using the online calculator to determine Mean, SD and N. Filters will be reviewed to including their application to refine protocols. Dashboard construction and functionality will be discussed.

Description
This class will cover what Policies are how they differ from parameters and preferences. Why the attendee would want to use them will also be discussed along with how to define them.

Getting Started with Rules – Rules 101
Description
An overview of the Rules Engine within Instrument Manager. We will review the Rules Engine workspace, usage of the Rules Toolbox as well as creating and testing some basic Instrument Manager rules.

Mark Shearer
Mark joined Data Innovations (DI) as a Product Manager in 2017. Before coming to DI Mark had been the Director of Chemistry for 30 years at CompuNet Clinical Labs, in Dayton, Ohio. Mark had been the Administrator for the Data Innovations Instrument Manager program which provided instrument interfacing of over 80 analytical instruments equipment installed at over 15 physical sites. Mark was also a Six Sigma Black Belt where he completed projects which improved the efficiency of the Sandridge Chemistry department through the use of Middleware as well as the transition of work between the Processing and Chemistry Departments.
Jeff Piepenburg
Jeff is an experienced lead software consultant with a medical technology background that has been with Data Innovations (DI) since 2010. He has been the Lead Laboratory Solution Consultant for 3 years now. Before coming to DI he was a Laboratory Information Manager at the Dallas V.A. Medical Center and an Application Specialist for the Core Lab at Texas Health Resources. He has extensive experience in various Laboratory Information Systems including Epic Beaker, Cerner Millennium, Sunquest and Meditech. He also works with numerous laboratory equipment and interfaces including Roche, Abbott, Sysmex, IRIS and Stago analyzers. He has been a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists for the past 20 years.
